On your wedding day - 너의 결혼식

This is a story of a man who received a wedding invitation from his ex-girlfriend and actually his first love. A story that shows a different kind of love and the art of letting go.

I just watched it today with my sister-in-law and we are so sad that they didn't end up together. They looked so happy and in love, but then again things happened unexpectedly.

The boy worked so hard for her since the first day they met. He showed honest and pure intention. But fate works like hell. Things don't go the way they wanted the way their hearts needed.

Imagine a guy who has the same feelings for a girl for so many years... A guy who keeps his promises and never forgets things about you. Amazing isn't it?

But every time their path crossed, it's always bad timing. The girl had to run away with her mother because of her irresponsible dad when he's drunk. It's either one of them is in a relationship or because of mandatory military service.

Fate moves mysteriously.

Then the day that they're both waiting for came. All things work as a fairy tale. The girl finally followed her heart and pursues the relationship that he is giving with all his heart. Everything went well, until the day that reality hits him.

"Not everything you wanted will be yours, sometimes you can only choose one." It's an old saying and that happened in this story.

It was a mistake that he came to thought what would his life if he didn't meet her?.. yeah it's a mistake but honestly, if things are not working like what had happened-he was not able to pursue his dream because of the accident he had and not able to get a proper job while the girl is on the track of her dreams, you'll be frustrated and might think about that.

He thought, actually he is afraid that he will regret meeting her sooner or later, which is absolutely wrong. I mean it looks like it is because of her why he wasn't able to get the job that he wanted. It is indirect blaming.

But, he is the one who pushed that relationship, and what I felt for the girl is she doesn't want to get hurt by him- the reason why even though she likes him she tried her best not to be with him.

"Words are like bullets, once you release them you can never take it back." an old saying that is always true.

The moment that she decided to break up with him, is really sad and heartbreaking. We were like "Can she just be open-minded? He is just upset, he didn't mean it."

But then reality hits me as I watched the ending. If she didn't end up their relationship that might be a problem as time goes by. It might be the cause of arguments. The girl saw how the past and the blaming ruined her mother's life, her life. It will be more like "History repeat itself".

I admire how she was so honest to tell him that she is hurt, not by what he said but because he came to that kind of thought. I admire how he was able to accept things and he genuinely feels happy for her. This movie showed that Letting go also means "I Love you, go on and be with someone you deserve to have."

It's really heartbreaking but on the other side, both finally found the love that they are looking for. If they didn't break up, he probably won't be a teacher and enjoying his life with his students. She might not be also a happy bride.

We'll just have to admit that, there are things that can stay in our hearts but never in our lives. No matter how we want it, we might get it but if this is really wasn't for us it will be gone eventually.

But then again, when it comes to a relationship it depends on the two people how they will work together to stay forever. If you agreed to forget the past and move on do it. No, buts no ifs. New arguments will come but don't add up the past one it will only get things worst. But if one cannot forgive, be honest and the other one should learn to let go. That way you won't end up being hurt and getting hurt over and over again.
